Bessó is Catalan for “twin.” We chose it because that’s who we are — twin sisters — and because the bond between twins is the closest thing we know to the feeling we wanted our swimwear to give: connection, understanding, being completely seen.
A word that means more than two
To be a twin is to grow up with someone who knows you without explanation. It’s a shared language, a shared way of seeing, a closeness that doesn’t need words. When we created this brand together, we wanted that same sense of being understood to reach every woman who wears our pieces.

We founded Bessó with one vision between us: to redefine swimwear for women — not despite the way bodies change, but in honour of it. Two perspectives, one belief. That’s the twin in everything we make.
Our inspiration comes from sunlight, softness, and modern femininity, and from the simple idea that every woman deserves to feel confident, comfortable, and effortlessly beautiful in the water. Naming the brand after our bond felt like the truest way to carry that intention into everything we create.
